Blake Shelton Transforms Into Bunny Blake for Easter

For any country music fan who traveled to Nashville, there is no better place to visit than the Grand Ole Opry. Founded in 1925, the venue offered not only a stage for some of the most beloved country music singers but a moment to add their name to history.

Considered sacred ground to many country music singers, the venue will celebrate not only its contributions to the genre but its 100th anniversary. Crossing the century milestone, there seemed no better person to host the event than Blake Shelton.

With the Opry not shying away from the historic moment, Shelton will take the stage to host the Opry 100: A Live Celebration. Scheduled to air on NBC on March 19, Shelton opened up about when he first became a member of the Opry.

“Becoming a member of the Opry is a highlight of my life and career, and 15 years later I still get that same feeling of reverence and excitement every time I walk out on that stage. The Grand Ole Opry has been connecting the country music family for 100 years, and I’m so proud to be part of this historic celebration.”

Blake Shelton Hosting A Night Full Of Memorable Performances

Considered a milestone for many singers hoping to become country music royalty, the event will feature more than just Shelton.

The night will include performances by  Luke Combs, Marty Stuart, Reba McEntire, Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, Ashley McBryde, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Clint Black, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Kelsea Ballerini, and Lainey Wilson. And that was just the start as the War and Treaty, Eric Church, Jelly Roll, and Amy Grant also added their name to the list of performers.

Making the celebration even better, country music icon Randy Travis will also be in attendance. Discussing the Opry and crossing 100 years, Opry Entertainment Group CEO Patrick Moore explained, “We’re pleased to partner with our Grand Ole Opry members to create a truly unforgettable evening as we kick off the Opry’s 100th year.

This special night of programming will connect millions of country music fans to the magic of the Opry, and we hope it inspires them to join us in Nashville as we celebrate this milestone all year long.”

For fans looking to attend the event, tickets go on sale on Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. CT at http://www.opry.com. While surrounding the legacy of the Opry, the event will air from two locations, one being the Opry and the other being the classic Ryman Auditorium.
